명동성당은 서울 중구 명동길 74번지에 위치해 있습니다. 다음은 지하철을 이용하여 명동성당에 가는 방법입니다:

1. 지하철 이용

• 4호선 명동역 9번 출구로 나오세요.
• 출구에서 바로 앞에 있는 건물을 따라 오른쪽 방향으로 약 150m 걸어가세요.
• 중앙로를 건너서 오른쪽으로 돌면, 명동성당이 보입니다.

1. 버스 이용

• 100번, 143번, 151번, 160번, 162번, 171번, 172번, 272번, 601번, 606번, 704번, 750A, 750B, 751, 900번 버스를 타고 명동입구 정류장에서 내리세요.
• 버스 정류장에서 명동성당까지 도보로 약 5분 정도 거리입니다.

1. 택시 이용

• 서울 시내 어디에서든 택시를 이용하여 명동성당에 갈 수 있습니다.
• 명동성당 주소를 택시기사분께 알리시면 됩니다.

위와 같은 방법으로 명동성당에 갈 수 있으며, 지하철을 이용하는 것이 가장 편리합니다.

Take Exit 9 of Myeongdong Station on Line 4.
Walk about 150 meters to the right along the building right in front of the exit.
If you cross Jungang-ro and turn right, you can see Myeongdong Cathedral.
bus use
Take the bus number 100, 143, 151, 160, 162, 171, 172, 272, 601, 606, 704, 750A, 750B, 751, and 900 at Myeongdong Station.
It is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to Myeongdong Cathedral.

You can go to Myeongdong Cathedral by taxi from anywhere in downtown Seoul.
You can tell the taxi driver the address of Myeongdong Cathedral.

명동성당은 한국에서 가장 유서 깊은 가톨릭 교회 중 하나로, 1892년에 창건되어 19세기 말부터 20세기 초까지 한국 천주교 발전에 큰 역할을 해왔습니다. 현재는 서울의 중심부에 위치하여, 한국을 대표하는 유서 깊은 문화유산 중 하나로 손꼽히고 있습니다.

명동성당은 대한민국 최초의 구조철골 건축물로, 건축 양식은 이태리 르네상스 양식을 기반으로 하고 있습니다. 당시 교황청이 직접 디자인과 지도를 하였으며, 내부에는 이탈리아, 프랑스, 독일 등 유럽 국가들의 신성들이 그려진 스테인드 글라스 창문,  카라라 대리석으로 만든 성당 내부 장식물들이 특히 유명합니다.

명동성당은 일제강점기에는 순교자들의 피로 물든 역사를 간직하고 있습니다. 1926년 4월 일본경찰의 공습으로 10여 명의 천주교 신자가 죽었고, 이후 또 다른 8명의 신자들이 순교로 끝을 맺었습니다. 그들의 기념비가 성당 내부에 있으며, 매년 4월에는 명동성당에서 기념 미사가 열립니다.

명동성당은 서울의 대표적인 관광명소 중 하나이며, 중앙로와 명동거리의 중심지에 위치하고 있습니다. 매일 오전 6시부터 오후 10시까지 개방되어 있으며, 관광객들은 성당 내부를 구경하고 기도할 수 있습니다. 성당 주변에는 다양한 쇼핑몰과 음식점들이 위치하고 있어, 함께 방문하여 명동의 볼거리를 즐기는 것도 추천드립니다.

 

Myeongdong Cathedral is one of the most historic Catholic churches in Korea and was founded in 1892 and has played a major role in the development of Korean Catholicism from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. It is now located in the center of Seoul and is considered one of Korea's representative cultural heritages.

Myeongdong Cathedral is the first structural steel structure in Korea, and its architectural style is based on the Italian Renaissance style. It was designed and guided by the Vatican at that time, and the interior of the cathedral is especially famous for stained glass windows depicting the divinity of European countries such as Italy, France, and Germany, and decorations made of carara marble.

Myeongdong Cathedral has a history stained with the blood of martyrs during the Japanese colonial period. In April 1926, about 10 Catholics were killed in an air strike by the Japanese police, and another 8 believers ended in martyrdom. Their monument is inside the cathedral, and a memorial mass is held at Myeongdong Cathedral every April.

Myeongdong Cathedral is one of the representative tourist attractions in Seoul and is located in the center of Jungang-ro and Myeongdong Street. It is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, and tourists can see and pray inside the cathedral. There are various shopping malls and restaurants around the cathedral, so I recommend you to visit together and enjoy Myeong-dong's attractions.
